Do you want to host a future GBAS meeting?

The GBAS Board invites you to respond to the following questions. Your answers will help in deciding where and when GBAS should be hosted next. We hope that with your answers we can all imagine what GBAS can look like in different global contexts, and how Business Anthropology can keep pointing the way to new and better opportunities worldwide.

Proposal for hosting GBAS in 2025

1. When (month and year) do you propose to host the meeting and in what city? Can you provide a preliminary plan of venue to be used for GBAS events (e.g., who will be the partner/host and which buildings)? You may refer to the cultural and historic and also business significance of the venue.

2. To what extent do you think the hosting venue and partner is prepared to host the meeting in terms of infrastructure, funding, security, accessibility, etc?

3. To what extent are the business and anthropology environments of the host country ready to receive such a meeting and to endorse its recommendations?

4. How could the proposed location — its culture and concerns — help shape the
GBAS when it is held there? What impact could a GBAS meeting have on this particular location? What is the likelihood that your GBAS would seed future developments in business and anthropology in this location and what might the global resonance be of these developments?

5. What is the host location’s capacity to host the meeting in terms of collaborations, communications, staffing and services available to host the delegates?

6. What is your proposed thematic focus?
